Philanthropy/ Part-Time Work

Part-time work for a teenage child is not a bad thing. Kori Ellis says, "Having a job outside the home helps teach childre about hard work, responsibilty, time management, honesty, teamwork and the value of money. When a child has to earn their own money, the money's worth to them increases greatly. Jobs that are acceptable are great experiences that teach children about the real world.

Philanthropy is also important. It shows children that money is not the only incentive for hard work. Helping others is great way to donate time and effort. Local charities, church activities and other groups/ organizations always welcome helping hands.
